See the Opera House as it is today, but envision it as Horace Tabor did in 1879. You will be taken through the Tabor Suites and second floor museum to the third floor ballroom where Horace and Baby Doe must have danced. Finally you will see the elegant performance hall with its original Andrews opera chairs. You may sing on the stage, visit the dressing rooms under the stage and see where Harry Houdini vanished while performing his disappearing act.
You will be guided by local high school drama students or our local senior history buffs who will serve as interpreters for interactive tours with scripts in the voices of Leadville historical characters written by award-winning historical fiction author Donna Baier Stein.
