With The Denver Concert Band, you might hear a Sinatra tune, a Mozart concerto, a rousing march, a vocal soloist, or even a bluegrass group. The band’s loyal audiences know they should expect something new and different in every concert.
At the Tabor Opera House, family members will perform the Flower Duet from Leo Delibes’ Lakme: vocalists Amy Kopatich and Laura Kopatich Munstermann are twin daughters of DCB assistant director Ken Kopatich, who will conduct their performance. Both singers are vocal music graduates of Colorado State University. Amy received a Masters of Vocal Performance from the University of Colorado, and Laura received her nursing degree from the University of Colorado.
The Denver Concert Band is a group of about 90 musicians who have a love for instrumental music. The band is comprised of volunteers who rehearse and perform year-round in the Denver area and throughout Colorado.
